This class is your opportunity to work in a focused manner on any painting or drawing projects of your choosing. Perhaps you have some works that you've wanted to complete, but you feel stuck and are not sure how to continue? Maybe you are involved in some ongoing works but would like the benefit of some individualized guidance? Or do you have an idea for a new group of works you would like to attempt—but would like a bit of structure and support along the way? My aim is to create a sense of community in this class, providing a stimulating and supportive environment where you can further develop and refine your work!
Materials: For our first class, please bring all your usual painting supplies (oil or acrylic paints, brushes, solvents, roll of Viva paper towels, palette knife, palette, etc.) along with a stretched square canvas roughly 30" x 30" (or if you like, go larger). Please be sure to leave your e-mail address and phone number when registering. I will be contacting each student in advance to give more detailed information about what else will be needed for our first class meeting. Students may contact me at piastern@sbcglobal.net or via www.piastern.com.
